Cortado founder Anthony Tilotta joined Bob Blaisse on the Delco edition of the Good Neighbor Podcast. They talked about Cortado, why he built it, and what the app offers coffee drinkers, cafe owners, and roasters. You can listen to the full episode below.
What Cortado does
Cortado is a mobile app for iOS and Android. It helps people find specialty coffee near them, connect with other coffee drinkers, and buy products directly from the cafes and roasters they discover. Anthony built it after generic map searches kept failing to surface good local coffee.
For coffee drinkers
- Coffee Near Me. Use your location to find specialty cafes and hidden gems around you, not just the chains that rank highest on a map.
- A coffee community. Connect with other drinkers, swap recommendations, and find people with similar taste in your area.
- Discover and explore. Cafe Quests map a short trail of cafes you haven't visited, with beans and badges for checking them out.
- Free to use. The app is free. An optional low-cost subscription removes ads and unlocks extra features.
For cafes and roasters
- Sell in the app. List whole bean coffee, blends, brewing gear, merch, and gift cards. Payments run through Stripe.
- A business profile. Set up a storefront in minutes and become a discovery point for customers who haven't found you yet.
- Analytics. See which products sell, how customers find you, and what drives repeat orders.
- Advertising. Boost your cafe inside the app to reach coffee drinkers beyond your zip code.
The goal, as Anthony put it on the show, is to connect communities of coffee lovers, not just move transactions. Listen to the full episode on the Good Neighbor Podcast, then download Cortado to try it for yourself.
